Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died January 19 the 19th of January, 2008. She was an American film, television and voice actress. Pleshette started her stage career and was in films by the late 1950s. In later years, she was a prominent actor in movies like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Later, she was in various television productions and was frequently an actor in guest roles. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette is the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born January 31, 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish who were children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage director at both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
