JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez (born 11 August 1985) is a Sri Lankan actress and model. Apart from her appearance on reality television and music videos She has also worked in Indian films predominantly in Hindi. Since her debut in 2009 with Aladin, she has been an actress of distinction in Hindi film. Fernandez is the child of a multiracial Eurasian family, including the mother of a Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian mother. She was born and was raised in Bahrain as a citizen of the country. She earned her degree in mass communications at the University of Sydney, and was a reporter for a television station in Sri Lanka. Then she began modeling. She was named Miss Universe Sri Lanka in 2006 and also represented her country at Miss Universe 2006. In December 2021, Fernandez is being investigated into an alleged money laundering case that has a value of around Rs200 crore. The investigation is conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) who conducted a thorough investigation into Fernandez for 10 hours in relation to the investigation on the 9th of December 2021. Fernandez's request for a downgrade of the Lookout Circular, (LOC) that was issued in her case that blocks her from travel outside India was rejected by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the 22nd of December.
